勇闖新世界︰ 《 Kernel 4.X 》之整裝蓄勢‧開場白

既已決定『大膽向前』,乃今才說『整裝蓄勢』,豈不奇怪!歸納整理吸收消化是平日功夫,難期望速成之法。此處所言『整裝蓄勢 』正是『大膽向前』的『探險地圖』,所謂︰謀事在先,有備無患 。而已!既講『未知之境』,哪裡來的地圖哩?此圖指『心智地圖 』,比方說︰未來人類果能抵達一千四百光年外的『地球 2.0 』,焉知那裡的『自然現象』符合地球的『物理化學』??不過『原版 1.0』之『科學』依然是最好的『晌導』的吧!而且那『科學方法』仍舊是最佳的『研究未知』之方法的耶!!凡是可以『整裝蓄勢』的都是『已 ☆ 』之 □□,正用之以面對『未 ★ 』的 ○○ 罷了。

So, I made noises some time ago about how I don’t want another 2.6.39 where the numbers are big enough that you can’t really distinguish them.

We’re slowly getting up there again, with 3.20 being imminent, and I’m once more close to running out of fingers and toes.

I was making noises about just moving to 4.0 some time ago. But let’s see what people think.

So – continue with v3.20, because bigger numbers are sexy, or just move to v4.0 and reset the numbers to something smaller?

Linux kernel is now 4.0

The default firmware branch has been updated to use the 4.0 kernel.
The source tree has been available for a few months and is being used by OpenELEC amongst others.Update with:

Ideally nothing much will change. The newer kernel tree does support more devices (e.g. USB devices like wifi and dvb).

Please report if there are any regressions compared to the 3.18 kernel. If testing is positive it will appear in “apt-get upgrade” and on new raspbian images in the near future.

The default source tree on https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux is now rpi-4.0.y. This tree is now considered the stable kernel source tree and will merge in minor bumps to the kernel version, rather than rebase. ……

DS18B20 Digital temperature sensor

  • Description

    These 1-wire digital temperature sensors are fairly precise (±0.5°C over much of the range) and can give up to 12 bits of precision from the onboard digital-to-analog converter. They work great with any microcontroller using a single digital pin, and you can even connect multiple ones to the same pin, each one has a unique 64-bit ID burned in at the factory to differentiate them. Usable with 3.0-5.0V systems.The only downside is they use the Dallas 1-Wire protocol, which is somewhat complex, and requires a bunch of code to parse out the communication. There’s a great Arduino library for 1-Wire, but some microcontrollers do not have support for 1-Wire so be sure to check!

    We toss in a 4.7k resistor, which is required as a pullup from the DATA to VCC line when using the sensor. We don’t have a detailed tutorial up yet but you can get started by using the Dallas Temperature Control Arduino library which requires also the OneWire Library.

    • ±0.5°C Accuracy from -10°C to +85°C
    • Temperature-limit alarm system
    • Query time is less than 750ms
    • Usable with 3.0V to 5.5V power/data

所以,在出發前,最好還是對『新世界』之『可能事物』預作設想的好,以免到恐『驚慌失措』的哩。
