apt-cache search □□□

查詢有沒有那個東東。同時用

知道它的詳細版本資料。

舉例說,作者想裝 pd-extended ,於是查詢

Unfortunately it is no longer maintained. Say it again:</span> <h3><span style="color: #ff9900;">Pd-extended has been abandoned and discontinued. The last release is several years old. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK (or rather not)</span></h3> <span style="color: #808080;">Pd-extended has two main goals: provide a standard collection of libraries and distribute core modifications to Pd itself. Providing a package that includes many libraries not only means that they are easy to use, but also acts as a standard platform so that patches can be used across many computers easily. Pd-extended includes most of the libraries from the pure-data source code repository. It is generally the most complete assembly of all available libraries, extensions, and documentation.</span> <span style="color: #808080;">In terms of modifications to the core, Pd-extended aims to feel like a native app on GNOME GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. It also includes a number of community-added features like experimental string support and a visual design meant to improve readability.</span> <span style="color: #808080;">The aim is to keep it completely compatible with Pd-vanilla. That said, it is possible that incompatibilities will be introduced during the development process, these should be reported as bugs. Description-en: program for typesetting sheet music
LilyPond is a music typesetter, an automated engraving system. It
produces beautiful sheet music using a high level description file as input.
 .
LilyPond supports many forms of music notation constructs, including
chord names, drum notation, figured bass, grace notes, guitar tablature,
modern notation (cluster notation and rhythmic grouping), tremolos,
(nested) tuplets in arbitrary ratios, and more.
 .
LilyPond's text-based music input language support can integrate into
LaTeX, HTML and Texinfo seamlessly, allowing single sheet music
or musicological treatises to be written from a single source. Form and
content are separate, and with LilyPond's expert automated formatting,
users don't need typographical expertise to produce good notation.
 .
LilyPond produces PDF, PostScript, SVG, or TeX printed output, as well
as MIDI for listening pleasures. LilyPond is exported from the
RoseGarden and NoteEdit GUIs, and can import ABC, ETF and MIDI.
 .
LilyPond is part of the GNU Project.

RASPBIAN STRETCH PROBLEMS

Wed Sep 27, 2017 9:26 pm

The Raspberry Pi is a ground-breaking computer that has been adapted for many purposes ranging from education to industrial control. I have successfully used various Raspberry Pis (original, 2, 3, Zero and Zero-W) for the past 3+ years for a variety of purposes. Until recently the OS has been stable and with minimal OS problems, and the process of installing and configuration has been simple and fool-proof. Unfortunately that was in the past.

I have tried the various “Stretch” release and found each to have significant problems that should have been easily identified, even with minimal testing. The latest release includes what is apparently an old driver for WiFi dongles and incorrect libraries for Apache2 and MySQL. After solving these problems I ran into another problem with a SQL connector to which i was unable to resolve. Upon re-flashing the SD card and starting a new implementation to verify my notes, I encountered a new problem with apt-get unable to find the “mirror server”. Where did this new problem come from and why didn’t it appear a few hours earlier? The next day the problem continued. Has the OS changed, without a corresponding change to the version number or date? Or is the mirror server down and no one noticed?

Reviewing the comments and problems on your Forums and other web sites reveal many other problems that have occurred and reoccured multiple times. Unfortunately there is a pattern here and it is not a positive one.

Attempting to find information about how to correct these problems is both time consuming and frustrating as there are many people searching for answers which are few and far between. And few of these are address on the Raspberry Pi site. That should be the MAIN site these problems are reported, discussed and addressed! But that is not the case.

As a result users are forced to reinstall older version of our OS. While this solves an immediate problem it does not address the fundamental problem. It provides only a temporary solution which will cease to function when one adds new products or functions to their Pi or make other changes that entail new drivers.

Is this the new norm for the Raspberry Pi organisation? I hope not. I recognise you are (mostly) a volunteer organisation and your software is open source. However that does not relieve you of the responsibility to your supporters and those you serve of providing fully tested and functional hardware and software products. Releasing products, be they hardware or software, that are inoperative will quickly dissipate the store of good will you have accrued over the past few years.

A number of points to cover…

Stretch was tested, and was available as a beta for external testing for months. However, we cannot cover everything (we don’t have access to every USB dongle supported for example, and we don’t have a testing department the size of Microsoft – there are 26 thousand packages in Stretch…). It is worth noting that the vast majority of the Stretch release was straight from Debian, where it received a huge amount of testing. The RPF(T) just make a few changes to tailor it to the Raspberry Pi Hardware. Just as an addendum, I have been using Stretch on multiple devices and have not seen a SINGLE problem, as have many others. To say that Stretch was untested or had little testing is untrue.

MySQL was dropped by Debian in favour of MariaDB, and we follow Debian. Not sure about problems with Apache, not heard of any.

We have a github system for reporting issues, but this is for modules we have changed, i.e. Pi specific. So Desktop, kernel, userland etc. Other bugs should be reported to the appropriate developers (or Debian) because they are nothing to do with us. https://github.com/raspberrypi/

Mirror servers are exactly that, mirrors of our server. If our servers are down that is a problem, but this is very rare. It should also be noted that the Raspbian server itself is not run by the RPF, so we are limited in how much control we have, however, the guy who runs it is generally very responsive so downtime is minimal.

One thing to note, you state that answers to your problems are few and far between. This to me indicates that the problems you are seeing are quite rare, or there would be more posts about them.

Now some questions in return.

Which bugs have been flagged time and time again and, apparently, are unfixed?
Which bugs are you seeing on Stretch that are Raspberry Pi related?
Have you encountered any HW bugs?
Where have you reported the issues you have seen so I can check them out.

Massive incompatibilities between Jessie and Stretch…

There seem to have been a ton of incompatibilities and changes introduced that break a LOT of the Raspberry Pi ecosystem’s software and documentation (the popular Piface for example), plus some serious “downgrades” to major components like Nodejs (version 4? really?).

Many popular packages are not included in the stretch distro or package list either.

These implications do not seem to have been that carefully considered, and the resultant frustration that is sure to follow will greatly undermine the Raspberry Pi ecosystem – converting it from one where stuff “just works”, to one where a lucky search or guru-level kernel expertise is needed to make things work…

Ouch.

There is a real problem here in that we really need to update to newer packages – a lot in Jessie are very old indeed, and since we follow the Debian distribution, we get what they (after months of testing) use.

I’m surprised some packages are now older version -that seems very odd. A list would be useful, as would a list of popular packages that are no longer present. Again this is actually down to Debian from which we get the packages lists, then add some Pi specific stuff.

As for third party stuff no longer working, it’s impossible for us to test everything that might ever be run on a Pi to ensure it still works. We have to leave that down to the maintainers of whatever package it is. So for example, PiFace will need to update their libraries to work with Stretch. They are clearly the best people to do this since they know the code. This process usually takes a few weeks after a major upgrade like this, time for third party suppliers to fix code and update their libraries. Same happens with Windows releases as well.

Documentation is indeed an issue. However, if we delayed OS releases so we can update all the docs, they would be delayed by months, possible years, due to lack of staff to get that documentation updated. It’s possible for us to update after the event over a longer period of time, but does mean the docs lag behind. I’m not sure what can be done about that apart from throwing $1M at the problem and employing a load of people just to keep docs updated. Unfortunately, that’s a lot of cash, that people would argue is better spent elsewhere.

Raspberry Pi 4: Google announces partnership with Raspberry Pi Foundation

Raspberry Pi fans can now take advantage of Google’s AI technology

The Raspberry Pi is one of the most beloved pieces of tech ever built. The £35 micro-computer has been used in everything from DIY home automation projects to actual space missions aboard the ISS, and has an intensely passionate community of fans, makers and hobbyists surrounding it.

While devices like the Rasperry Pi Zero W have been met with an excellent response, the community is nevertheless eagerly awaiting the launch of the next fully-fledged addition to the Raspberry Pi family. Here’s everything we know so far.

Latest Raspberry Pi 4 News

04/05/2017: The Raspberry Pi can now harness the power of Google’s AI, thanks to a new add-on board.

Produced as part of a new collaboration between Google and the Raspberry Pi Foundation, the Voice HAT (Hardware Accessory on Top) board allows users to voice control to their projects.

Budding makers will also have access to some of Google’s most powerful tools, include the Google Assistant SDK, which provides the brain behind Google’s AI helper, and the Google Cloud Speech APi which the company uses internally for speech recognition tasks.

The new Voice HAT boards are being given away with every copy of issue 57 of the MagPi, along with everything you need to get started with your first voice-controlled projects. Fans will have to be quick, though – this issue is expected to be very popular indeed.

Raspberry Pi 4 release date and availability

Fans will be disappointed to hear that the next iteration of the Raspberry Pi won’t be arriving until at least 2019. Eben Upton, co-creator and co-founder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, has previously stated the current Raspberry Pi 3 would have a minimum life span of three years.

There is a possibility that the new Raspberry Pi 4 could be delayed beyond this, as the Foundation has effectively hit the limit of what can be achieved using the 40nm manufacturing process. Upton hasn’t given up, however, stating: “we’ll get there eventually”.

Whenever it does arrive, fans will need act quickly – with each new Raspberry Pi launch the products have faced massive demand and have quickly sold off their initial production run, and the Raspberry Pi 4 is almost guaranteed to do the same. Prospective buyers should also expect to receive a cap on the number of devices you are able to order at once, a measure to thwart potential scalpers.
